Archers boss resigns...

Vanessa Whitburn, editor of BBC Radio 4's The Archers is stepping down after 22 years at the helm. My own series, The Other Archers, gives a flavour of what Ambridge sounds like without a highly qualified editor to keep things in check!

Just finished a lovely audiobook read, Lexiland by Suzi Moore. A very moving, sweet story about grief, friendship and family. I had to work hard at holding back the tears in the record!

Been busy narrating audiobooks lately including the fab and funny Monster Swap by Jonny Zucker. It's a shame you don't get illustrations via audio, they're brilliant! Also very funny, and poignant, is Kiss, Date, Love, Hate by Luisa Plaja. A teen romance, the title says it all!

Update!

Haven't posted for a good few months due to having a baby in May! Much as motherhood is marvellous, I've enjoyed being back round a mic. I've recently been providing voices for a couple of cartoons in production, a new Cbeebies show hopefully airing next month, and testing for an upcoming ad campaign -so everything crossed please!

A nice cold Soda

I'm currently working on a brilliant, quirky new animation Grenadine and Peppermint. I play Grenadine's buddy Soda, a sweet, rather earnest little boy who finds himself caught up in many a daring mission and adventure. I also voice the loopy Queen Gloo.

A good match for Professors

Coincidental casting this week as I've just voiced a Nintendo ad for a new Professor Layton game. Having spent the earlier part of this week acting with another top hatted, turn of the century professor, Konami's Dr Lautrec I feel fully up to speed on beautifully animated, puzzle-solving Japanese adventurers!

TV Superstars!

Kindly got given a copy of TV Superstars for Playstation 3 in which I play Jenny Ratchett, the host of 'DIY Raw'. Haven't got a PS3 but maybe if I drop a few hints for Christmas..!?

Ooh La La!

Had great fun this week voicing the character of Sophie in Konami's new game for 3DS, "Dr Lautrec and The Forgotten Knights". Set in turn of the century Paris, the plot is based upon archaeology and exploration, finding treasure and fighting battles. Best thing is the brilliant script!

Dread Pirate Fleur Returns!

My favourite pirate Fleur returns with a new adventure, "The Hangman's Noose". Just finished recording the audiobook and loved every minute. Tons of fabulous new characters and twists and turns of plot. Fleur is as feisty as ever, but nothing compared to her unscrupulous mother, Rose!

Prom Queen
